Today I was offered a job as “manager” (el oh el) by my company,
but the catch was that it would be 2 states away from where I live.

Also, I would be required to work 10 hours more each week
than what I already do, yet I would be earning twice as much than
what I currently earn. I turned it down.

Why would I want to enslave myself to a full time dead end job
just for a whole bunch of money that I wont ever need or use?
I’m not the type to save. You see, I kinda stopped caring so much about money.
I only view it as a means of survival. I only require enough to pay bills
and to buy food. I mean, why have so much in my pocket if I don’t know
what to do with it?

I often see people with smart phones and brand new cars, and I have neither.
I know that they can afford those things because they work their ass off,
I’ll give them that much. But I also pity them because they have become
so materialistic that they place so much importance on expensive THINGS
that they can very well live perfectly without, AND they are enslaving
themselves to some JOB and their WORK. Gah! I hate those two words.
It is quite clear and evident by now that we are all slaves to society
and to our very own government. We pay bills, taxes, yadda yadda yadda.

I’ll tell you what. The moment that you all realize that money is NOT the
most important thing in the world, the moment that you learn
to live without your expensive things that you don’t even NEED,
and the moment that you realize that you have been wasting a huge
part of your life working instead of living, then you will be one step
closer to being free and evolving.

Just look around you. Of all the beings that inhabit this earth,
we are perhaps the stupidest because we lost touch with ourselves.
Sure, we have technology and are far more advanced than all the other species,
but what good is that for, if all we’re gonna do with our “intelligence”
is dumb ourselves down with such stupid and trivial WANTS and DESIRES?

For those of you who found your passion and you can earn
a living by doing it, STICK to it. A lot of us are lost and trying to find what
it is that we want to do. Many of us will find ourselves trapped in some
boring office just earning enough to pay the bills, but that’s okay!
The important thing is to stop worrying so much about money
and stop being materialistic. Those things were created by our own
“intelligence”, and it is time we stopped caring SO MUCH about NOTHING.
One day you will die, and all the money you ever owned will be no more,
but the love you shared will forever carry on.
